The terrible economy has affected all Americans, especially young people who want to be musicians. Many have hidden talents but can’t afford an instrument. Many have talents and don’t know of the outlets to become better. Many are just fascinated with music. Many kid’s today don’t have the alternative of listening to different kinds of music.
ARTISTS INFLUENCE
Most don’t know the history and legacy of music originated by African-Americans.Most don’t know and many don’t remember the African-American artists that are responsible for a generation of a music, sound and style. Many don’t know the Blues and Soul music artists that opened the door for most of the popular R&B artists of today.
MUSIC INFLUENCES
We want to help influence young minds by educating them with the history of America's purely original art form, the Blues, by Black people. We bring Blues & Soul music artists to the schools.Elementary, High Schools and Colleges to meet and greet the students.
Some students will have Artists as a personal mentor to them. Some High School mentees will be selected for scholarship monies to help further their interest in music education.

As Blues & Soul music lovers, the JBMF can certainly utilize your support for our initiatives of the "Jus` Blues In the Schools music program", the "2009 JBMF Technology Conference", the "Night of the Living Legends Dinner" and the "Annual Jus` Blues Music Awards Show" which will be held August 5th thru 8th on Beale Street in the Home of the Blues, Memphis Tennessee.
Now that we are using new technology artists and fans can connect with each other quicker. The present, which was the future just yesterday, has brought us viral videos which are ideal for online promotions. Digital sales have taken over going to the now obsolete record store. Through digital sales, people all over the world can purchase and download music, any and all times of the day and night. Digital technology has even brought us music to our phones in the form of ringtones. There are many more profit centers in the music business now
But one of the things that has not changed is the importance of the “live” performance of the artist. Though we all like to hear our favorite artist’s music on the radio, iPod or home stereo, there’s nothing like the “live” performance of the artist.

FROM THE SONG TO THE BANK" A huge success at Velma's Club San Francisco. This Tech Conference raises the needed awareness that we in the blues community have been asking for. Our hat is off to Velma's Club, having the passion for blues music and the blues artist to bring this event to her venue. We used Blues as the base to inform our attendees of a multitude of new business careers and an understanding of what these careers curtail.
Our panel was top notch,

This years event was smaller by at least 40 percent over past Midems, the show floor was markedly less active with traffic, however this years show produced more rewards for Independent companies than past shows.
At the height of the 19 previous Midem conferences that I have attended, conference attendees totalled well over 10,000 with unregistered independent company owners averaging another 4000. Business was difficult to convene unless you knew exactly who the deal makers were or you had access to the lobby of the Carlton or Majestic hotels, the center of Midem higher echelon. This year appointments were easy to obtain, walk ups to the sponsored booths were welcomed, and the hotel lobbies were manageable. My personal goals have been exceeded by about 700 percent with new deals in China, Southeast Asia and Great Britian.
